Senior Product Manager, Data & AI Platform

What does a successful Senior Product Manager, Data & AI Platform do at Fiserv?

Fiserv’s scale across payments, financial institutions, merchants, and commerce creates a powerful foundation of data from which to build differentiated data and AI products. The Senior Product Manager, Data & AI Platform will own the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for the shared data and AI capabilities that enable Fiserv teams to develop, deploy, and scale data products, analytics, machine learning, and generative AI solutions.

This role will treat the Data & AI Platform as a product, with clearly defined users, user journeys, measurable outcomes, and an evolving roadmap. The Product Manager will work directly with data engineers, data scientists, AI/ML engineers, analysts, application developers, and product teams to understand their needs and remove friction from how they discover, access, develop with, and activate data.

What you will do: 

• Own Platform Vision & Strategy: Define and lead the end-to-end vision, strategic roadmap, and success metrics for Fiserv’s Data & AI Platform, balancing quick wins with long-term modernization.
• Enhance Developer & User Experience: Streamline workflows for engineers, data scientists, and analysts by eliminating friction in data discovery, access, and operationalization to foster self-service.
• Standardize Reusable Data Capabilities: Consolidate fragmented tools into unified platform services for data ingestion, transformation, sharing, and consumption across transaction, merchant, and customer data.
• Accelerate ML & Generative AI Delivery: Define core infrastructure and common services to build, evaluate, deploy, monitor, and scale machine learning and GenAI applications.
• Strengthen Data Governance & Architecture: Partner with Engineering and Architecture to establish standards for APIs, metadata, data models, observability, data quality, and lineage.
• Execute Roadmap & Manage Trade-offs: Translate complex business and technical requirements into actionable user stories, balancing scalability, delivery speed, cost, and risk.
• Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Data Science, Architecture, Security, Risk, and product business units to ensure seamless platform integration and strategic alignment.
• Measure Value & Foster Adoption: Treat internal teams as platform customers, using feedback loops and KPIs—such as adoption, reliability, development velocity, and reuse—to continuously optimize platform impact.

What you will need to have

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 6+ years of product management experience, including experience with data platforms, AI/ML platforms, developer platforms, data products, cloud platforms, or other technically sophisticated products.
• Demonstrated experience defining product strategy, roadmaps, requirements, and success metrics for platform products.
• Strong understanding of modern data platforms, including data pipelines, APIs, data modeling, cloud data technologies, metadata, governance, and data quality.
• Working knowledge of machine learning and generative AI concepts and the data and platform capabilities required to support them.
• Experience translating the needs of multiple user personas or product teams into scalable, reusable capabilities.
• Experience partnering closely with Engineering, Architecture, Data Science, Analytics, and business product organizations.
• Strong product discovery and prioritization skills, including the ability to distinguish between individual requests and platform-level opportunities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect technical platform investments to product and business outcomes.

What would be great to have

• Experience working with payments, banking, merchant, transaction, or financial-services data.
• Experience managing products used by data engineers, developers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, AI engineers, or analysts.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data and AI architectures.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with APIs, data products, semantic layers, metadata or catalog platforms, knowledge graphs, or developer platforms.
• Experience with generative AI, large language models, retrieval architectures, AI agents, or AI application development.
• Experience building platforms or products operating within complex privacy, security, regulatory, and data-governance environments.

Salary Range

$136,000.00 - $225,600.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
