The Role 

We’re looking for curious, driven software engineers who want to build innovative solutions and challenge the status quo. 

In this role, you will: 

• Explore innovative technologies, including AI tools, and learn how to responsibly use them in your work to deliver cutting-edge capabilities and services for our customers  

• Work on real projects from start to finish - across the full software development lifecycle including requirements, design, development, testing and deployment 

• Build scalable applications and features using modern programming languages, traditional and newer database platforms, integration technologies (APIs, messaging) and user interfaces/front-end frameworks  

• Write code, test it and deploy it with support from your team – leveraging standardized and automated software development pipeline practices and technologies that safely and securely move your code from development to production 

• Work as part of an engineering team obsessed with delivery solutions that help our customers achieve their long-term financial goals 

 The Expertise and Skills You Bring 

• 4+ years working as a software engineer 

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 

• Communicates clearly, asks thoughtful questions, and collaborates to improve delivery 

• Curiosity, asking great questions and a passion for fast and continuous learning 

• Embraces feedback, adapts to change, and continuously improves skills 

• Approaches challenges with curiosity, resilience, and a growth mindset  

• Owns deliverables, meets commitments, follows best practices, and seeks guidance as needed  

• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns for scalable, resilient systems  

• Proven experience with at least one language such as Python, Node, Java, etc. 

• Experience working with GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini, Claude etc. 

• Hands-on experience with a cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including deploying, configuring, or running applications 

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
