In this role, you will serve as the Airdrop team’s primary logistics coordinator, working within a small, multidisciplinary government engineering team of aerospace and mechanical engineers and aerial delivery equipment specialists.
About the Role

- Inspect aerial delivery equipment during first article and production lot inspections at manufacturer or government facilities. This includes visually inspecting components of sampled systems (e.g., 12 personnel parachute systems), measuring specified features, documenting findings on government-provided inspection sheets to verify compliance with the Technical Data Package (TDP), and presenting results to the lead Government representative.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with fielded helicopter sling load equipment and personnel and cargo parachute systems, conducting root cause analysis and developing corrective actions.
- Complete technical reviews of drawing packages, specifications, and technical and field manuals within 30 days, submitting them to the Government for review and approval.
- Participate in parachute and airdrop equipment design reviews.
- Advise command and industry partners on personnel and cargo airdrop procedures, equipment configuration, and special operations aviation integration.
- Provide technical oversight of parachute systems, load inspection, precision airdrop, and safety compliance for high-risk special operations missions.
- Serve as a subject matter advisor on parachute rigging, airborne operations, and specialized equipment programs.
- Own entire projects or processes spanning multiple professional areas, driving day-to-day objectives that have a major impact on the program.
Required Qualifications
